PRICES
All prices are subject to change without notice. Quotations, based on plans and specifications, are our interpretation of the requirements and include ONLY the material described and listed on the quotation. Quotations must be in writing and terminate 30 days after the issue date unless otherwise stated.
Orders delayed or put on hold by the customer will not be protected against price increases past the effective date of the quotation.
TAXES
Thomas & Betts reserves the right to add any applicable sales tax, duty or fee which may be imposed on its product to the sales price of that product.
CANCELLATION
The written consent of Thomas & Betts is required prior to cancellation of any order. Cancellation charge based upon work already started or based on any commitments given by Thomas & Betts will be charged to the customer.
RETURNS GOODS POLICY
All returned material is subject to inspection by Thomas & Betts and returned material must be new, unused, and in original packaging. Permissions for return of goods must first be secured from Thomas & Betts in writing. A Return Material Authorization (RMA) form must be completed and signed by Thomas & Betts. A copy must accompany the material being returned. (Material returned without our Return Material Authorization form will not be accepted). All freight charges for returning material will be the responsibility of the customer.
DELAYS, DAMAGE OR LOSS
Thomas & Betts is not liable for delays in shipment or delivery of its products when caused by or arising from the breakdown of equipment, fires, material shortage or any other cause beyond its reasonable control. Actual back-charges will be accepted only in cases when the charges have been authorized with reception of the order.
TRANSPORATION
All Shipments are FOB Dorval QC. Canada. “Prepaid and charge” or “prepaid” options are also available but must be requested during the quotation process. All claims for shortages must be made in writing within 15 days of receipt of shipment. All products are shipped with a protective covering and once received by the customer the protective covering must be removed immediately. Any exposure to moisture during storage may cause the protective covering to stain the poles.
WARRANTY
Thomas & Betts warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the invoice date under normal use and service. All goods found to be defective within this period after verification by Thomas & Betts shall be replaced or repaired by Thomas & Betts free of charge.
The warranty excludes fatigue failure or similar phenomena resulting from vibration or resonance associated with movement of air currents around the product. Further, labor required to remove and/or reinstall original or replacement products shall be the responsibility of the customer.
This warranty excludes damage caused by improper installation, overloading, misuse, abuse or neglect. In addition, this warranty does not cover alterations, modifications, or additions unless the change is acknowledged and accepted, in advance in writing, by Thomas & Betts.
VIBRATION
Many factors may contribute to the development of a vibration problem. It is not, however the result of defective material or poor workmanship and therefore is not covered by the Thomas & Betts warranty. All Thomas & Betts poles 30ft and above come standard with a dampening system. For all Davit poles and poles below 30 ft, Thomas & Betts recommends that VIBRATION DAMPENERS BE PURCHASED when poles are installed on a bridge structure, a parking ramp structure, or when located close to an airport location. Poles being installed in a location with a history of vibration problems or poles that will have an E.P.A. load of 0.5 or less should also be equipped with a vibration dampener. It is the customer’s responsibility to advise Thomas & Betts of the need for a VIBRATION DAMPENER on a project.
Call your Thomas & Betts representative if you have any concerns about vibration on a project or product.

The allowable effective projected areas listed for each product are intended to be for luminaires. For other type of applications (cameras, banner arms, wiring, signs or any other type of product) please contact your representative for assistance in selecting the correct product.

DRAWING APPROVAL
If drawings are required for approval, the order is not accepted and manufacturing will not begin until these drawings have been signed off as approved by all interested parties and returned to Thomas & Betts.
Orders for merchandise built to purchaser’s specifications or design are non-cancelable. The purchaser and all interested parties are responsible for the inspection of the preliminary product and the approval of the drawings.

Prepaid orders are subject to a lot shipment in its entirety. If pre-shipment or post shipment of individual components are required, the additional freight charges will be charged to the customer. All claims for shortages must be made in writing within 15 days of receipt of shipment. All products are shipped with a protective covering and once received by the customer the protective covering must be removed immediately. Any exposure to moisture during storage may cause the protective covering to stain the poles.

Thomas & Betts Steel High Mast Pole Warranty
Thomas & Betts warrants to repair or replace any of its steel high mast poles that fail due to structural defects or faulty workmanship within ten years of date of shipment, unless these failures are due to improper installation or misapplication. This limited warranty applies to structural failures of the pole assembly only and does not include failures of the Lowering System. Also not part of this warranty are failures of protective coatings, painted surfaces, cosmetic appearance problems, see Factory Finish Paint Warranty below. The warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product or part involved and does not include reimbursement for the expenses of installation, removal of equipment, transportation charges or any other expenses which may be incurred.
ULTRABOND II Factory Finish Warranty
Thomas & Betts warrants on its Propriety Factory Finish Paint, ULTRABAND II for five years against peeling, cracking or excessive fading. This warranty applies to poles that are properly installed and exposes to normal (not excessively corrosive) environmental conditions. Thomas & Betts reserves the right to inspect any items on which a warranty claim has been made and to make the final determination if theses conditions have been met. This warranty is limited to the cost of repair of the painted surface only and does not include reimbursement for the expense of installation, removal of equipment, transportation charges or other expenses that may be incurred (Other coatings applied by Thomas & Betts other than ULTRABAND II are warranted for a period of one year from date of shipment.)
